Will Southard is an American independent perfumer and the founder of Third Eye Fragrance Co, based in the Orlando, Florida area. He came to perfumery by an unusual route: raised in Ocala, Florida, he studied physics at the University of Florida on a Navy scholarship and served roughly ten years of active duty as a Naval Nuclear Engineering Officer before moving into engineering-management and sales roles across the aerospace, energy, and chemical industries.

Entirely self-taught, Southard took up fragrance formulation as a personal project after a divorce, learning through online tutorials and self-directed experimentation. He spent about three years and hundreds of trial batches before finishing his first commercial scent, Red Rum, a dark composition of cherry, plum, tobacco, immortelle, vanilla, spiced rum, and woods.

Third Eye Fragrance Co frames perfume as an extension of individual presence, and Southard emphasizes accessible pricing, quality naturals, and IFRA compliance, working with a local tattoo artist for hand-drawn bottle artwork. His releases include Iris Obsidian (2025) and Moon Lotus (2026), a moonlit-beach floral built on mandarin, peach, and pineapple over blue lotus, ylang-ylang, and jasmine with a sandalwood, ambergris, and vanilla base.
