Biography

Bruno Jovanovic is a French perfumer whose fascination with scent began in childhood, when he associated his mother's perfume with her presence. He studied physics and chemistry at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie before graduating with honors from the French perfumery school ISIPCA, pairing a scientific grounding with formal creative training.

He spent more than two decades as a perfumer at IFF, working between New York and Paris and contributing to a run of widely commercial launches. His credits from that period include Paco Rabanne's Lady Million and Calvin Klein's CK IN2U line, alongside work for houses such as Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle.

In 2021 he moved to Firmenich (now dsm-firmenich), where he works as a principal perfumer based in Paris. In 2025 he co-composed Prada Paradigme with Marie Salamagne and Nicolas Bonneville, a masculine built around an inverted-pyramid structure.

Jovanovic describes his aim as a clear, immediately legible olfactive message, and cites artists and philosophers among his influences.
