Bertrand Duchaufour is a French perfumer widely regarded as one of the defining figures of modern niche perfumery. He began his career in Grasse in 1985, training within the Lautier Florasynth group, and went on to spend roughly a decade at Créations Aromatiques before working in the fine fragrance division of what became Symrise.

His first signed fragrance appeared in 1995 with Amber & Lavender for Jo Malone. In 2008 he became an independent perfumer and took on the role of house perfumer for L'Artisan Parfumeur, where he composed much of the travel-inspired Voyage collection over about seven years. He is especially celebrated for his handling of incense and resinous, atmospheric compositions.

Across his career he has worked with an unusually broad roster of niche and luxury houses, including Amouage, Comme des Garçons, Eau d'Italie, and Penhaligon's. Signature works include Timbuktu (2004) and Dzongkha (2006) for L'Artisan Parfumeur, Avignon (2002) for Comme des Garçons, and for Amouage both Dia Man (2002) and Jubilation XXV (2007). In 2017 he was named Perfumer of the Year at the Russian FiFi Awards.
