Alexis Grugeon is a French perfumer who trained at the ISIPCA school in Versailles and built his early career as an assistant in Grasse fragrance houses before joining Firmenich (now DSM-Firmenich), where he has spent the core of his career. He is now based in New York City.

His portfolio mixes mainstream designer work with niche perfumery, with credits reported for houses and brands including Amouage, Nautica, Avon, Cacharel, Emanuel Ungaro, Lancome, Angel Schlesser and Cirque du Soleil. He often describes an interest in unexpected textures and contrasts, and cites color blindness as something he feels sharpens his focus on scent.

For Amouage he has contributed to the Library Collection, composing 'Opus XVI - Timber' (2025), an emphatically woody fragrance inspired by giant sequoias and Omani frankincense trees, built around cypress, juniper, frankincense, sandalwood, palo santo and cedar.
