La Lavanda di Leonardo is a stunning lavender fougère, and honestly, I like it even more than Invasion Barbare.

The comparison is obvious to my nose, but this feels smoother, more unisex, and less powdery. Where Invasion Barbare can lean a little more classic and barbershop-polished, La Lavanda di Leonardo puts the lavender more clearly in the spotlight. It has that clean aromatic fougère backbone, but with a softer sweetness underneath that makes it feel more sensual and modern.

This is not a loud fragrance. It is elegant, composed, and quietly magnetic. The lavender has a natural aromatic quality, not sharp or medicinal, and the sweetness gives it just enough warmth to keep it from feeling too dry or old-fashioned. It feels dressed up without being stiff.

For me, this is an upscale date-night fougère. The kind of scent you wear with a great shirt, good shoes, and somewhere worth being seen. It smells refined, romantic, and confident without begging for attention. Very unisex, very polished, and far more wearable than a lot of traditional lavender-heavy fragrances.

If you enjoy fougères but want something less powdery, more lavender-forward, and a little sweeter around the edges, this is absolutely worth trying.
